Border of Waiting is built from the testimony of people who crossed expecting to return within months and were still there decades later — registered, unregistered, and increasingly unwelcome in both countries.
It follows several families through registration drives, repatriation deadlines, and the quiet business of making a life in a place designed not to hold one, and asks what a right of return means once there is nothing left to return to.
